Sea salt concentration profiles over Finokalia are provided by RAMS-ICLAMS (Cotton et al., 2003; Solomos et al., 2011). The Integrated Community Limited Area Modeling System (ICLAMS) is an enhanced version of RAMS6.0 and it has been developed by the Atmospheric Modeling and Weather Forecasting Group at the University of Athens, Greece. The model domain grid space is set at 50×50 km and the vertical structure of the model consists of 32 sigma-z terrain following levels stretching from 50 m up to 18 km. Open sea and coastal sea salt flux is parameterized following Monahan et al., 1986; Zhang et al., 2005; Leeuw et al., 2000 and Gong et al., 2002, 2003 and sea salt particles are represented in the model by an accumulated and a coarse mode at 0.18 μm and 1.425 μm in radius respectively.
